Whizible story
Whizible, which began its life as ProjectByNet, and later was renamed as Whizible to truly reflect it’s value-proposition, had the first-mover advantage when it was launched in 2001. The product that was launched to offer the simple functionality of providing a web interface to Microsoft project, went on to become the complete solution for integrated project portfolio and resource management.
Whizible witnessed a phase of phenomenal success over the next eight years from 2001 to 2009, with garnering venture capital funding, rapid growth of customers, strengthening of the value delivered to Whizible users and going public.
With an objective to support further growth, the founders Vishwas and Uday exited the company and merged Compulink with a bigger company with a diverse portfolio. But, contrary to their expectations, Whizible got neglected by the new owners and customers suffered.
Rekindling Whizible for Improving Customer Success
In spite of weak customer support and lack of product innovation after Whizible was transferred to the new owners, many customers continued using Whizible.
And the second innings for Whizible started in 2016-17.
A new company – Lifeline was started by some of the original team members with specific focus to support the Whizible customers. The IP of Whizible was later purchased.
Whizible team took up that challenge of working on revamping the entire product while continuing to serve the existing customers. This was much like changing the wheels of the car while it was being driven.
Whizible Founder and CEO, Vishwas Mahajan thanked the Whizible team for their continued efforts and commitment towards making the launch a success
